Glamour

What is glamour: image, fun, illness, or necessity?
According to the Russian writer V. Pelevin – glamour is the disguise used to raise someone’s social status in people’s opinion.
According to people’s opinion glamour is a rich man’s status.
But some unconventional men think that glamour is a possibility to design their space in an amusing manner that is functional and pleases their eyes.
A creative client and an attentive architect is a crucial tandem for such a project. Everything that carry charm, which means the closeness to the generally accepted standards of luxury, style and splendor, can be characterized by a single world: beautiful!

The apartment is in the one of the best housing estates of Dnepropetrovsk with a splendid river view, the total area of which is 200 sq.m. It was –contemplated as both very stylish and very comfortable. The wishful style of the apartment was described by the client as “neither classic nor modern ”. This polysemantic description gave start to the search for the appropriate visual range and the proper accessories. The search wasn’t easy but all doubts vanished when the search for furniture stopped at EGO factory and this determined the further architectural solutions.
The style was specified as a glamourous post-modernizm.
Saturated with colour walls and ceilings, rendered glass, metallized textiles, silky shine of textured finish, they all are intended to collect space into the comfortable micro world with tangible borders. Every detail is true and at the same time is like a toy with double implication, typical for the post-modern style, but with a touch of the glamour adherent to modern tendencies.
